Step Up Case Study – WRAP – A determined mum rebuilding her career
Focus on unemployed or economically women. The case studies show the positive impact which the support provides for women in building confidence, refreshing skills, gaining qualifications and work experience and to create progression pathways to further and higher education and/or employment.
The participant, a mother of two young children was unexpectedly made redundant from her employment. She began to reflect on her career aspirations and enrolled in Level 2 SSTL course which took place while her children attended school. She has completed a Level 3 qualification in Supporting Children with Autism to enhance her skills and professional development. She successfully completed the course and secured employment in a local primary school, where she is very happy in her role.
She feels she has found the perfect career path and plans to continue furthering her education in this field.
