Focus on providing financial support for people in higher education who care experienced. The case studies show the positive effect this financial assistance has had on allowing recipients to continue with their study.

This participant was suffering from stress and anxiety due to their financial situation. On receipt of the bursary, they said:

“The funding will significantly benefit me in several ways. Alongside my monthly nursing bursary, it will cover my travel expenses. This support will alleviate stress and anxiety, allowing me to focus on being punctual and prepared for classes and placements. As someone with a disability, this funding will have a profound impact on my life by reducing my financial burden and enhancing my mental and physical well-being. Additionally, it will reimburse me for the extra time I spend traveling.

This support fund will enable me to concentrate more fully on my studies and mental health. Managing anxiety often makes attending clinical placements challenging, but by removing travel barriers, the bursary plays a crucial role in ensuring consistent attendance, which is essential for my graduation and future employment.

With less travel-related stress, I can dedicate myself to patient care and maximize my learning experiences”
