Mineral Prospecting Licence Applications MPLA1/19 (Licence DG1/22) and MPLA2/19 (Licence DG2/22)

The Department for the Economy carried out a public consultation in respect of the mineral prospecting licence applications MPLA1/19 and MPLA2/19. The public consultation began on 13 September 2021 and closed on 5 December 2021.

Responses to the consultation consisted of:

  • campaign letters of objection
  • stakeholder replies
  • letters of support
  • individual objections

Award of Licences

The Department awarded Mineral Prospecting Licences for both applications on 1 February 2022. A redacted copy of each licence is available to view at:
