Public Procurement
The Public Procurement Policy Statement (PPPS) was approved by the Executive on the 5 June 2025 and sets out the principles and strategic objectives for public procurement. The statement includes a requirement to publish certain procurement related activities for both the Department and its Partner Organisations.

The PPPS also requires reporting on how Centres of Procurement Expertise (CoPE) are complying with the monitoring arrangements in the Executive’s Procurement Policy Notes (PPNs). The first reporting of this requirement with be published by 30 June 2026.
Procurement Pipelines
In this section you can find Department for the Economy’s (DfE’s) and its Partner Organisations procurement pipeline information to help you prepare for future tendering opportunities.
DfE publishes pipeline information bi-annually (March and September) regarding supplies and services opportunities and for planned construction projects, which can be accessed using the link below. The information includes the contract title, estimated value and estimated month when the tender will be published.

Please be aware that there is no absolute guarantee that any published pipeline contract will lead to tender publication as the Department/ Partner Organisation may decide not to proceed with the procurement.
Contract Registers
In this section you can find Department for the Economy’s (DfE’s) and its Partner Organisation’s Contract Registers.
The Contract Register includes information required to meet objectives TP2 through TP4 of the Public Procurement Policy Statement (PPPS) which are detailed below:
- TP2 - There will be transparency of public procurement activity and how this relates to local suppliers, SMEs, Micro Businesses and SEs.
- TP3 - There will be visibility of where contracts have been awarded without competition (i.e. Direct Award Contracts).
- TP4 - There will be transparency of any variances between the original contract value and actual spend.
The information on the Contract Register will be updated Bi-annually by the Department.

Prompt Payment Performance Statistics
A target is in place to pay Suppliers/Contractors within a maximum of 30 days from receipt of an undisputed and valid invoice in compliance with the Procurement Act 2023
