On 16 December 2021, the Department for the Economy published the Northern Ireland Energy Strategy - the Path to Net Zero Energy
Background
The Energy Strategy for Northern Ireland set a long-term vision of net zero carbon and affordable energy for Northern Ireland. Three targets were set to drive these changes and six further metrics to be monitored over time.
The Northern Ireland Energy Strategy – The Path to Net Zero Energy is closely aligned with the Department for the Economy Minister’s Economic vision and actively supports its four key priorities.
The reports and dashboards, on this page, present the historical and current position for each Energy Strategy target and metric included in the Northern Ireland Energy Strategy ‘Path to Net Zero Energy’.
