Data providers
Data was provided by the Central Applications Office (CAO) in relation to the Republic of Ireland, the Higher Education Statistics Agency (HESA) and the Universities and Colleges Admissions Service (UCAS) in relation to Northern Ireland.
The first in this series of reports was published in June 2015 by DEL, in collaboration with the Higher Education Authority (HEA), through the Department for Education and Skills (DES) - looking at trends in both applicants (2009/10 to 2013/14) and enrolments (2008/09 to 2012/13) between the two jurisdictions.
A second report was produced with HEA and DES in the lead. This report looks at trends in Higher Education in applicants (2012/13 to 2016/17) and enrolments (2011/12 to 2015/16) between the two jurisdictions.
