In December 2021, DfE published the Energy Strategy for Northern Ireland – The Path to Net Zero Energy and one of the commitment statements within the Energy Strategy is: “We will produce a comprehensive energy evidence programme to inform policy decisions”. Furthermore, our commitment to establishing a robust evidence base has been highlighted in the 10X Economy Research 2022-23 Programme published in October 2022.
The department is now seeking energy related proposals from the research community to address its research needs and build the evidence base to deliver the Energy Strategy.
