Economy Minister Simon Hamilton has welcomed confirmation of a deal between Bombardier Commercial Aircraft and Air Canada.
The finalised agreement includes a firm order for 45 CS300 aircraft and options for an additional 30 CS300 aircraft.
Simon Hamilton said: “This is another piece of good news for Bombardier and for Northern Ireland, coming on the back of the large Delta Airlines C Series order in April.
"This will strengthen Northern Ireland’s place as a global leader in aerospace technology. Major components including the composite wings for the C Series have been designed, developed and manufactured by Bombardier in Northern Ireland. This latest deal will be very much welcomed by Bombardier and other local suppliers to the aerospace industry in Northern Ireland.”
