    Economy Minister Gordon Lyons has announced an extension to the term of the Chair of Invest NI, Rose Mary Stalker.

    The tenure of Rose Mary Stalker has been extended from 1 August 2022 until 31 January 2023.

    This extension has been made in accordance with the Code of Practice issued by the Commissioner for Public Appointments for Northern Ireland. More information is available on the CPANI website.

Invest Northern Ireland was established under the Industrial Development Act (Northern Ireland) 2002, and its role is to promote innovation, enterprise and competitiveness in Northern Ireland businesses, encourage new start-ups and market Northern Ireland as a location for inward investment.

    3. Current Board membership stands at 13 (Chair and 12 Board Members).

    4. Remuneration as Chair of the Board of Invest Northern Ireland is currently £45,535 per annum, with a time commitment approximately four days per month.

    5. All appointments are made on merit and political activity plays no part in the selection process. However, the Commissioner for Public Appointments for Northern Ireland requires the political activity of appointees to be published. Ms Stalker has declared no political activity.
