  • Strategic Policy Appraisal of High Growth Firms

    Topics:
    • Economic policy,
    • Statistics and economic research

    Date published: 26 June 2017

High growth firms are recognised as key job creators and contributors to economic development and have become a major focus for governments and policy makers. A wide range of analysis has been carried out to understand high growth firms in Northern Ireland, and researchers from University of St Andrews, University of Stirling and London School of Economics were appointed to consider potential policy approaches to support such firms.

This research provides a coherent evidence base on high growth firms, bringing together other relevant studies from the wider literature and new qualitative data collected. It also outlines policy implications for supporting high growth firms and put forward specific recommendations for developing support programmes and interventions that best meet the needs of both firms and policy makers.
