In summer 2019 the Department for the Economy undertook a call for evidence relating to hardship associated with participation in the Non-Domestic Northern Ireland Renewable Heat Incentive Scheme. The consultation report is available at: RHI Hardship Unit Call for Evidence
In response to the findings, in October 2019 the Department appointed energy expert Andrew Buglass to undertake independent research into hardship associated with participation in the scheme.
