Guidance around the current ESF Call 3 match funding position.
Dear Project Promoter
Further to ESF Memos 28/21 and 05/22 I am aware that a number of Call 3 projects have not yet secured the match funding they require and understand completely the significant concern this is causing.
DfE continues to receive substantial levels of correspondence on this issue and unfortunately, our response remains unchanged. We have done everything in our power to try to escalate and resolve the situation.
It is a matter of public record that DfE made a bid for £5m under the 2022-25 budget process. This has not been included in the draft Budget currently out for consultation. I would therefore encourage all projects to register their concerns at 2022-25 Draft Budget - NI Direct - Citizen Space
To ensure that we are in possession of the most up to date information, I would appreciate if each project could provide me with an update on their current match funding position. A table is attached at Annex 1 to facilitate this.
Updates should be sent to the Call 3 mailbox esfcall3@economy-ni.gov.uk no later than Friday 11 February 2022.
