Notice of Scoping Opinion under the Offshore Electricity Development (Environmental Impact Assessment) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2008 and under the Marine Works (Environmental Impact Assessment ) Regulations 2007.
The Department of Enterprise Trade and Investment (DETI) and the Department of the Environment (DoE) have each received a request from Tidal Ventures Limited (TVL) in relation to a proposal to construct and operate a 100 megawatt tidal energy array situated in waters off Torr Head, County Antrim.
DETI and DoE issued a Scoping Opinion to TVL on 26 February 2014, this document and related documents can be accessed below.
DETI accepted representations from any person who, in relation to the likely environmental effects of the proposed project, made representations within 28 days of the date on which this notice was issued: 5 June 2014.
