  • Archibald announces the appointment of new Industrial and Fair Employment Tribunal members

    Economy Minister Dr Caoimhe Archibald has announced the appointment of 56 new non-legal panel members to serve on the Industrial Tribunals and the Fair Employment Tribunal (ITFET), following an open competition.

    The appointments will take effect from 3 November 2025.

    Notes to editors:

    1. The Industrial Tribunals and Fair Employment Tribunal are independent judicial bodies supported by the Department for the Economy. They provide an accessible forum for resolving workplace disputes, helping to maintain confidence in employment rights and industrial relations.

    2. The Industrial Tribunals and the Fair Employment Tribunal (ITFET) hear cases on a wide range of employment and equality matters, including unfair dismissal, discrimination, and redundancy.

    3. Non-legal members are appointed for their experience in employment relations, business, trade union work and equality matters.
