Biller Genie is a US tech company headquartered in Florida. It provides a cloud-based Accounts Receivable platform that automates bill presentment, follow up, online payments and reconciliation.

Welcoming the investment, Minister Archibald said: “Biller Genies decision to establish an office in the north is a vote of confidence in our skilled workforce and thriving tech sector. Invest NI has worked closely with the company to secure this significant investment, which will create 100 high-quality jobs with average salaries of £65,000. These roles will provide excellent opportunities for local talent, while hybrid working arrangements will help ensure greater regional balance and accessibility.”

The Minister added: “Strategically aligned foreign direct investment is a catalyst for economic success, innovation, and job creation. Later today, I will be travelling to Boston to meet with business leaders and potential investors to showcase the many advantages of doing business here, from our skilled workforce to our commitment to innovation and sustainability.”

The company chose Northern Ireland following a rigorous evaluation of several global locations including Orlando, India and South America.

Thomas Aronica, Founder and CEO of Biller Genie said: “We’re thrilled to announce the opening of our new office in Belfast. This marks a major milestone in our global growth strategy. Northern Ireland stood out for its exceptional talent pool, world-class universities, and thriving tech community making it the perfect environment for innovation. Our Belfast R&D teams will play a key role in re-engineering our automation platform to deliver even greater efficiency and intelligence to our customers.

“We plan to create 100 new jobs over the next three years across engineering, product development, and operational roles that are central to Biller Genie’s continued expansion. We’re excited to invest in Northern Ireland and become an active part of its dynamic technology ecosystem.”

Twenty of the new roles are in place with future roles on offer including software architects, senior developers, engineering managers and business analysts.

Welcoming Biller Genie to Northern Ireland, Elaine Curran, Director of Trade and Investment at Invest NI said: “Attracting industry leaders like Biller Genie is a key focus of our Business Strategy, which emphasises driving economic growth through high-value inward investment and the creation of high-quality jobs.

“Our team in the US worked closely with the company to ensure Northern Ireland was the right fit for the business. We provided advice on setting up a business here, facilitated an inward visit to introduce them to the region and key stakeholders, and have offered support towards creating the new jobs.

“Once in place the new roles will contribute £6.5m in additional annual salaries to our economy. We look forward to working with the company as it establishes and expands its presence here.”
