This investment will see at least 17 new jobs created over the next two years to support its growth in the global technology market.

Invest Northern Ireland is supporting the new jobs, which include a range of positions for software engineers, analysts, technical support staff, professional services and marketing and sales professionals.

Economy Minister Simon Hamilton MLA said: “BDNA is an established Silicon Valley software company operating in the rapidly growing area of IT services and data analytics. Its investment in Northern Ireland will make a valuable contribution to our vibrant cluster of IT businesses.

“The new jobs will present an exciting proposition for our highly skilled graduates and the talented professionals working in this competitive industry.

“Belfast is Europe’s leading destination city for new software development projects, and BDNA’s decision to locate its new team here will further enhance Northern Ireland’s reputation within the ‘big data’ industry.”

BDNA offers a software solution known as Technopedia®, which categorises and aligns product technology information to enable organisations to speak a common language to enable better decisions with better data. Companies can make the best decisions on use of software, lower costs and risks as well as accelerate the pace of their business.

Jay Scroggins, executive vice president of engineering and operations at BDNA, said: “Northern Ireland boasts an impressive technology ecosystem and a highly educated workforce to help us continue to grow our business.

“BDNA has performed well in recent years and we plan to maximise the availability of industry skills here as we diversify and grow our business. Belfast’s compelling combination of a cost-competitive infrastructure and a pro-business operating environment made the city a great strategic destination to support development.”

BDNA Corporation currently employs more than 185 people around the world. Recruitment and hiring for the Belfast office has started, with BDNA career opportunities available at NI Jobs and the BDNA website.
