Dodds announces 20 training places on Assured Skills Academy with PwC

Economy Minister Diane Dodds today announced an Assured Skills Academy with PwC offering 20 high quality training places.
Focussing on Data and Analytics and open to people with degrees in any discipline, the Assured Skills Academy will see participants receive eight weeks of industry-relevant pre-employment training from Belfast Met.
Participants who complete the training will gain industry-recognised qualifications and are guaranteed a job interview for a role at PwC in Belfast.
The Minister commented:
“I very much welcome the opportunity to announce another Assured Skills Academy with PwC. This is an excellent opportunity for people with a degree in any subject to reskill for a career in the professional services sector. No experience is needed.
“I am committed to building the local skills base as a key part of the economic recovery. Assured Skills Academies have a proven track record of success in this area and my Department will be bringing forward more academies in the coming months.
“Successful applicants to the Academy will receive £155 per week training allowance and will be strongly positioned to compete for a job upon completion. I urge anyone who is eligible and interested to apply for this exciting opportunity.”
Course content will cover areas including: data modelling and architecture; data visualisation and manipulation techniques; design thinking and mock client simulation; and professional skills to prepare for the business environment.

Applications for the PwC Data and Analytics Assured Skills Academy are open now and will close on 18 April. Applicants must hold a minimum 2:2 degree in any discipline.
Video interviews will be held on 27-29 April and training will commence for successful applicants on 17 May.
