Funded by the Department for the Economy, the Academy will offer a blend of onsite and online learning delivered in partnership with Belfast Met from November 10 to 18 December 2025. The intensive six-week training programme will take place at both the Springvale and Titanic campuses.

Learning will provide practical experience working in a Strategy and Transactions role, providing participants with essential tools and resources to enhance business skills and technical expertise. Participants who successfully complete the Academy are guaranteed a job interview for a role at EY as well as the opportunity to gain industry recognised qualifications.

Highlighting the opportunity, the Minister said: “This latest Academy with EY and Belfast Met will provide an exciting opportunity to develop a career with a major multinational company.

“Assured Skills Academies have a very strong track record of success in upskilling people and broadening the local skills base which is a key element to growing our economy.

“I would encourage everyone who is interested and eligible, to apply.”

Rob Heron, EY Northern Ireland Managing Partner, said: “EY Northern Ireland is proud to once again partner with Invest Northern Ireland and the Department for the Economy to launch our seventh Assured Skills Academy, focusing on Business Operations and Technology.

“Successful candidates will work in our Strategy and Transactions practice where they will gain hands-on experience working alongside leading local and international firms, helping them solve their most complex challenges across business operations and technology in the context of M&A (mergers and acquisitions).

“We are actively encouraging individuals of all backgrounds to apply, including those with experience in STEM, business or an entrepreneurial background, as well as career changers, graduates, and those returning to the workforce."

Damian Duffy, Belfast Met’s interim Principal and Chief Executive, added:“The college has a long and successful track record in delivering Assured Skills Academies and we are delighted to be partnering with EY once again.

“This new Academy will equip participants with valuable operations and technology skills while supporting the growing need for talent across Northern Ireland’s professional services sector.”

Participants will receive a training allowance of £180 per week plus travel and childcare expenses for the duration of the academy.

Applications are open now and close at 10am on Monday 13 October 2025.

Applicants must be over 18 years old, have been awarded at least a Foundation Degree in any subject and be eligible to work in the UK.
