    Consultation description

    The purpose of this consultation is to discuss a number of key questions and evaluate support options for low carbon heating technologies within the residential sector.

    This consultation seeks your views on a new domestic low carbon heat support scheme, and will explore a range of topics, including:

    • The type of low carbon heat technologies eligible for future support
    • Building efficiency, suitability and eligibility requirements
    • Consumer considerations and protections
    • Financial assistance options
    • Supply chain and industry skills to support future scheme delivery

    The views provided by you will help the Department for the Economy (DfE), with further policy development in this area and assist in the design of a future support mechanism for residential low carbon heat.

    Open workshops

    These workshop are for the Northern Ireland public and other interested parties to discuss the consultation with DfE's Heat Policy Team.

    They took place on:

    • Tuesday, October 22 between 9:30am - 12:30pm GMT
    • Wednesday, November 13 · 9:30am - 12:30pm GMT
    • Wednesday, December 11 · 1:30pm – 4.30pm GMT
