The Gas Applications Regulations were established to provide
- a structured and regulated system for natural gas companies wishing to apply for a licence to operate within Northern Ireland.
- the manner in which companies may apply to the Northern Ireland Authority for Utility Regulation for a licence to convey store or supply gas
- for an extension to an existing gas licence
