In this consultation paper the Department of Enterprise, Trade and Investment (the Department) seeks initial views and comments on the implementation in Northern Ireland of requirements of Articles 13 and 15 of Directive 2012/27/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council on energy efficiency (the Energy Efficiency Directive or the Directive).

This consultation focuses on Article 15 of the Directive, and the related Annexes XI and XII as well as elements of Article 13, which are being transposed separately in Northern Ireland. Article 15(9) will be transposed separately by the Department of the Environment.
