Please note that many of the figures contained in the archive publications have subsequently been revised and/or updated. We would always advise using figures in the most current publications. All publications contain figures from 2011 onwards. All recent publications can be found on the website at the link below.

Archive Northern Ireland occupancy survey publications

Archive monthly occupancy survey publications are only available until August 2014. The decision was then made to move to monthly charts and tables which are updated on a monthly basis and contain figures from 2011 onward. Commentary on occupancy statistics is still available in the annual occupancy survey publication. The monthly tables can be found at

Archive external visitors to Northern Ireland publications

In May 2013, Tourism Statistics Branch held a user consultation exercise regarding methodology and publications of tourism statistics in Northern Ireland. This led to changes including the reporting of results. Since then, NISRA combines the estimates of visitors from NIPS , CHS, SOT and HTS and publishes these on a quarterly basis, rather than monthly. The focus of the publications is now on rolling year results. More information can be found at
