Artificial Intelligence, or AI, is a rapidly evolving technology with transformative potential.
AI has the potential to enhance economic productivity, promote regionally balanced good jobs, and facilitate decarbonisation efforts. AI serves as a foundation for innovation and research and development within DfE’s priority sectors, contributes to advancements in further and higher education, and extends its impact beyond traditional infrastructure limitations.
The Department has set up a new team, AI & Digital Technologies (AIDtech), to consider how we use AI to enhance the local economy.
