Skills Action Plan
Date published:
Economy Minister Dr Caoimhe Archibald has launched a three-year Skills Action Plan.
This action plan sets out the key agreed actions that the Department for Economy will focus on to ensure that everyone has a pathway to enhance their existing skills and contribute to the Minister’s Economic Vision.
The action plan covers three themes:
- collaborating with industry and education partners to develop new ways of working;
- improving the skills systems by building on the success of our institutions, interventions and programmes; and.
- creating an inclusive, forward-looking skills ecosystem that empowers individuals and supports economic transformation.
The interventions set out in this document are designed to complement the existing strengths of our education system and the outcomes delivered through our schools, colleges, universities, apprenticeship programmes and the range of employment/pre-employment interventions already established.
