PhDs in Northern Ireland

This research provides a view of the current landscape for PhDs in Northern Ireland. The article looks at the growth in PhD enrolments, the most common PhD subjects, wages of those with a PhD and the wider economic benefits of PhDs. This article aims to provide a combined analysis of current NI data and the current literature on PhDs. The analysis ties in with DfE’s economic vision.
