Northern Ireland International Trade and Investment Patterns – Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf (GCC)

The Department for International Trade (DIT) are seeking views on working towards a new Free Trade Agreement (FTA) in 2022 with the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC). The GCC is a political and economic alliance between the Kingdom of Bahrain, the State of Kuwait, the Sultanate of Oman, the State of Qatar, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.
Call for input
In October 2021 the UK Government launched a call for input, seeking stakeholder input on what the UK government show seek to achieve from the review.

The consultation will close on 14 January 2022.
To assist stakeholders in Northern Ireland who are considering responding to the UK government call for input and consultation, the department has provided statistical analysis on Northern Ireland’s global trade and investment with these countries.
