This research, conducted by Maureen O’Reilly, aims to understand subregional approaches taken by business development agencies to ensure business start-up, development and growth supports and their benefits are accessible across all parts of regions/countries.
The research considers three models of subregional business support, which include:
- The Local Enterprise Office (LEO) model in Ireland;
- South of Scotland Enterprise (SOSE); and
- County Development Centres (CDCs) in Estonia.
