    The infographic provides information on the number of eligible NI residents aged 18 and over who have applied for their Spend Local card and been verified in the period 27 September to close of applications.

    Key points

    At close of applications:

    • there were 1,393,023 verified applications for the NI High Street Scheme, of which 1,369,632 (98 per cent) were made online and 23,391 (2 per cent) were made by telephone.
    • of the 1,393,023 verified applications, 721,772 (52 per cent) were from females and 671,251 (48 per cent) were from males.
    • of the 1,393,023 verified applications, 1,203,585 (86 per cent) were from persons without a disability and 189,438 (14 per cent) were from persons with a disability.
    • of the 1,393,023 verified applications, 379,653 (27 per cent) were from those aged 18-34, 353,251 (25 per cent) were from those aged 35-49, 355,439 (26 per cent) were from those aged 50-64 and 304,680 (22 per cent) were from those aged 65 and over.
    • the number of verified applications with a valid postcode1 ranged from 244,185 (18 per cent) in Belfast Local Government District to 85,211 (6 per cent) in Fermanagh and Omagh Local Government District.

    1 Note sums to 1,390,505 (2,518 applicants have been removed due to not having a postcode which matches a postcode in the postcode directory)
