  • FE 01 0919 - FE coding guidance: course and student source of funding

    Previous guidance FE01-0918 (issued 7 September 2018) provided an update to the list for the course (C06) and student source of funding (E08) fields to be utilised in the 2018/19 academic year.

    Earlier guidance was agreed with the NICIS Manager’s Group, Colleges NI and in discussion with Statistics and Research Branch (SRB) within the Department.

    This guidance (FE01-0919) is to inform the sector of an amendment to the options within the course (C06) and student source of funding (E08) fields that could be selected, if appropriate, for the academic year 2019/20.

    FE01 - 0919 was issued on 17 September 2019.

    Addendum 1

    Addendum 1 was issued on 9 September 2020. This Addendum is to inform the sector of an additional coding value for both fields, required in-year for 2019/20, to identify enrolments on courses offered under the Department’s Skills Intervention initiative.

    Addendum 2

    Addendum 2 was issued on 10 August 2021. This Addendum provides a further update with the addition of a number of new coding values for both fields, required from the 2021/22 academic year, to identify enrolments on the following programmes:

    1. Covid 19 Affected Enrolments (FE01-0919 Add.2)
    2. Skills for Life and Work
    3. Skill Up - Flexible Skills Fund (2021/22 onwards).
    4. NI Prison Service provision
    5. Advanced Technical Award (L3) courses
    6. Traineeships (L2) courses

    Colleges are asked to bring this guidance to the attention of all staff recording learner data on the Learner Management System (LMS).

    Addendum 3

    Addendum 3 was issued on 19 May 2022 and provides a further update to FE01-0919 Addendum 2 with the addition of two new coding values required from the 2021/22 academic year
