Drivers of Foreign Direct Investment from the United States

The United States is the largest source market for inward investment into Northern Ireland, and will therefore be vital to our future success at competing in the global economy. Research has been carried out under a Fulbright Scholarship to explore outward FDI from the US and understand the key drivers that determine investment decisions.
This research profiles US outward FDI over the period 2003-15, exploring in detail the locations of choice within tradable services and manufacturing sectors.
