Customs Capacity Study

Prior to the implementation of the NI Protocol the Department for the Economy published research on the capacity of customs intermediaries in Northern Ireland. The department commissioned Logistics Consultants to undertake a follow up study to determine the current capacity that exists within the customs sector in Northern Ireland.  It is important to note that this 2022 study was undertaken during a time of on-going negotiations between UK and EU and while several grace periods were in place.
