    This report presents the findings from research carried out by the Priorty Skills Unit, ERINI for the Department for Employment and Learning (DEL). The research reviewed current international best practice in the area of skills planning and forecasting and provides an assessment of Northern Ireland`s position within this context. The work reviews the various methodologies and approaches that can be applied and makes recommendations with respect to the existing framework in Northern Ireland.
