  • Minister welcomes new Chair of Invest NI

    Economy Minister Conor Murphy has welcomed John Healy OBE on taking up post as Chair of Invest NI with effect from 1 March 2024.

    The Minister said:

    “I am delighted that John Healy has taken post as the new Chair of Invest NI. John has extensive private sector and Board experience which will be very valuable in his role as Chair. Invest NI has a key role to play in delivering my vision for a regionally balanced economy and I look forward to working with John as we make this vision a reality.”

    The Minister added:

    “I am grateful to Colm McKenna for acting as Interim Chair of Invest NI over the last twelve months. His commitment and leadership have laid important foundations upon which the new Chair can build.”

    2. The term of appointment of John Healy as Chair is for a period of three years from 1 March 2024. The appointment has been made in accordance with the Code of Practice of the Commissioner for Public Appointments for Northern Ireland (CPANI).
    3. Invest Northern Ireland, Northern Ireland’s economic development agency, was established under the Industrial Development Act (Northern Ireland) 2002.
