Economy Minister Diane Dodds has today taken part in a call with leading New York tourism leaders chaired by Tourism Ireland.
The Minister said:
"In March I attended a Northern Ireland tourism breakfast hosted by Tourism Ireland in New York where I met with top US Travel Trade people. Today’s call has helped me reconnect with those I met and to get a sense of the impact of COVID 19 on the tourism sector from an American perspective.
"As we emerge from COVID-19, I believe it will be essential that we support our tourism and hospitality businesses (and their supply chains) where possible. I want to ensure when the time is right we can provide the best of welcomes to our greatly missed US visitors."
