The Academy is offering 20 high quality training places to people with degrees in any discipline, providing them with industry-relevant pre-employment training. Participants who complete the training are guaranteed an interview for a role with PwC.

The Academy will be delivered remotely by Belfast Met. Any subsequent employment at PwC will also be at-home until the company can safely accommodate staff onsite.

Highlighting the opportunity, the Minister said:

“In the midst of the current very difficult economic climate, it is very encouraging that we are in a position to offer more Assured Skills Academy training places.

“This Academy, funded by my Department, will provide the skills needed for participants to start a career in financial services. I urge anyone interested, and who meets the criteria, to apply.

“Assured Skills Academies have a successful track record in providing people with high quality training while helping employers access the skilled people they need to grow.”

    The Minister added:

“We are working hard to bring forward more Assured Skills Academies in the near future.”

Deborah Stevenson, Operate Director at PwC, said: "We’re delighted to be able to deliver 20 more Academy places at a time when they’re needed most.

“This remotely delivered training programme will equip people interested in taking their career in a new direction with the skills they need to work in Data and Analytics at PwC.

"Whether you're a recent graduate or an experienced individual, we're keen to hear from anyone who wants to learn new skills in the Data and Analytics space."

Louise Warde Hunter, Principal and Chief Executive of Belfast Met, said: “We are delighted to be delivering this Academy in collaboration with PwC. Belfast Met is a leading provider of industry-relevant pre-employment training and the Assured Skills Academies will provide participants with the opportunity to develop the requisite skills they need to gain employment within the professional services sector. Skills development remains a vital key element in helping our economy to rebuild at this challenging time.”

Applications for the PwC Data and Analytics Assured Skills Academy are open until 3 July 2020 and the Academy starts on 20 July. No experience is required but applicants must hold a 2:2 degree or better in any discipline.
