    Summary

    The Joint Insolvency Committee (JIC) is consulting on proposed revisions to Statement of Insolvency Practice (SIP) 3.1, which sets standards for Individual Voluntary Arrangements (IVAs) in England, Wales and Northern Ireland.

    Consultation description

    The proposed changes focus on improving transparency in referral arrangements, strengthening safeguards for vulnerable consumers, enhancing due diligence requirements, and ensuring debtors are fully informed before entering an IVA. The consultation is open to insolvency practitioners, creditors, debt advisers, debtors and other interested stakeholders.
