    Consultation description

The Draft Telecommunications Strategy seeks to build on the success of DETI’s current Telecommunications Action Plan through the further extension of next generation broadband access. An additional element will be to engage with consumers, both business and residential, to ensure that they better understand and exploit the benefits of broadband and our wider telecoms infrastructure.

While recognising the considerable achievements that have already taken place, the draft strategy is equally conscious of the budgetary pressures that will exist in 2015/16 and beyond.
