    Application Process

    HSENI’s vision is to achieve world-class performance in workplace health and safety and therefore improve the overall economic and social well being of our community. HSENI HQ is in Ladas Drive, Belfast.

    The appointment is effective from 1 April 2017 although there will be the opportunity to ‘shadow’ the outgoing Chair with effect from 1 January 2017. The term of appointment will be for three years.

    We particularly welcome applications from women, people with a disability and those from ethnic minorities as these are currently under-represented on the Board.

    We are operating the Guaranteed Interview Scheme for applicants with a disability.

    The time commitment normally amounts to 1.5 days per week or equivalent and remuneration amounts to £19,245 per annum from 1 April 2017. (Remuneration during any shadow period will reflect the actual time commitment made). All reasonable receipted dependant carer expenses will also be reimbursed where applicable.

    No academic qualifications are required for the post. Appointment will be made on merit from those individuals who best satisfy 4 essential criteria. Please note that skills and experience in Health & Safety management, whilst valuable, are not essential and will not be a criterion for appointment.

    Interviews are scheduled to take place on 15, 16 and 17 November 2016. in Netherleigh, Massey Avenue, Belfast.
