Careers Advisory Forum terms of reference - annex

At the Careers Advisory Forum (CAF) meeting of 8 December 2020, it was agreed that CAF minutes should be published on the Department for the Economy (DfE) website. It was agreed that this would become effective from the 8 December 2020 meeting and apply to all CAF minutes going forward.

The publication constitutes a change to part of point 3.3 of the CAF terms of reference (ToR), which states that:

“The views of the forum….will be provided in confidence. The forum is not empowered to make its views/advice publicly available without the express permission of both departments.”

The role of the CAF continues to be the provision of advice to the two Ministers and their departments. The views of the forum continue to be non-binding on departments.
