The vision document identifies a number of key priority clusters and ‘new and emerging technologies’ which it describes as the foundation of NI’s future growth. This includes NI’s life and health science (LHS) sector.
To better understand the needs of the LHS sector, the department is keen to engage with a range of businesses, research institutions and other key partners throughout NI to help drive inputs on the potential policies and interventions to support the growth of key capabilities and technologies. These include capabilities such as:
- precision medicine
- clinical trials
- connected health
supported by technology such as:
- engineering biology
- bioinformatics and genomics
The department is particularly interested to hear, in relation to NI’s LHS sector, about any issues, opportunities and priorities in regard to:
- regulatory environment
- market access, investment and export.
The department will be completing business engagement soon and if you would be interested in sharing your views please email at: email@example.com
By emailing you may be providing the Department for the Economy with personal information, which the department would use solely to communicate with you for the purpose of seeking views on the life and health science sector in Northern Ireland. Further information at:
