This award acknowledges the excellence and originality by Employers, in partnership with Training Providers, in the delivery of Apprenticeship training. For the purposes of this competition, a small to medium-sized enterprise (SME) is one with fewer than 250 employees.


Who can enter?

It is open to Employers from all sectors using Training Providers contracted by the Department for the Economy to deliver its Apprenticeship programmes.

Who can submit an application?

Joint nominations are required to be made with either the Training Provider or the Employer taking the lead to nominate. Training Providers must be contracted by the Department to deliver the apprenticeships programme.

What are the judges looking for?

The judges will base their decision on those Employers who can demonstrate how they are investing in the skills of their workforce with Apprentices. More information is provided in the relevant sections.

Applications will be scored against the following three categories: Commitment, Development and Sustainability.
