What is SEMC?
The Single Electricity Market (SEM) is jointly regulated by the Utility Regulator and the Commission for Regulation of Utilities in Ireland. The decision-making body which governs the market is SEMC.
The Committee consists of three Utility Regulator (UR) representatives and three Commission for Regulation of Utilities (CRU) representatives along with an independent and a deputy independent member.
The Department for the Economy's Electricity Markets team is leading this Europe wide recruitment campaign. The successful candidates in the competition will be jointly appointed by the Northern Ireland Economy Minister and by the Irish Minister of the Department of the Environment, Climate and Communications.
