Northern Ireland occupancy survey monthly archive publications

Archive monthly occupancy survey publications are only available until August 2014. The decision was then made to move to monthly charts and tables which are updated on a monthly basis and contain figures from 2011 onward. Commentary on occupancy statistics is still available in the annual occupancy survey publication. 

In May 2017 after an assessment by the Office for Statistics Regulation the Hotel Occupancy Survey was granted National Statistics accreditation. The results from the survey can be found at

Tourism Statistics also publish statistics on guesthouse, bed & breakfast and guest accommodation occupancy. The response rates to these surveys are low and varied. Results from this survey are classed as Official Statistics. The results from the survey can be found at
