Update

In February 2024 the Department agreed a contract change with the contractor, Fibrus Networks, that allows more eligible premises to be brought into the scope of Project Stratum, and removes a number of derelict premises from the contract.

This follows further interrogation and updates to the premises data, and enables the contractor to reconfigure the network design and deployment plans, where it is feasible to do so.

The net result is that the number of premises passed has been adjusted down, removing derelict premises from the equation, and the number of premises to be passed has increased, following the exercise to bring additional eligible premises into scope.

These updated premises numbers reflect the number of eligible premises that have benefitted from the project, or will benefit as deployment continues, ensuring that more premises that lack broadband benefit from this much-needed intervention.

All premises that have been brought into Project Stratum are scheduled to be able to order services by June 2025. For details about individual premises, please check hyperfastni.

As a result of this contract change, Project Stratum will pass over 81,000 eligible premises.
